ABOUT DEVELOPMENT WITH DAN KOOP:

A unique 1:1 Photowalk* in the CBD grid. We’ll walk & talk, frame & shoot – let’s see what develops… Part street photography, part land survey, this one-on-one performance is a conversational guided tour of a unique corner of the city at a 1:1 scale.

Meet me in the city for a photowalk. We’ll wander one Melbourne city block, framing what we see by snapping pics, and discussing the interesting things we observe along the way. You can bring your own camera to take your own photos, and share a camera with me to make some unique photos together. Let’s shoot first and see what develops later…

Each of the 32 sessions will start and focus upon a different block to encounter the city grid and feel the contours that lie beneath. Whether you know the city well or are eager to encounter it anew; if you are an experienced photographer or curious to learn; or if you have a lot to say or are keen to listen; you’re invited to come along in the spirit of exchange and we will negotiate and navigate a path that’s right for the two of us. All sessions take place in the Melbourne CBD, please see the grid image to understand where the unique meeting place is for each session.

*Maybe you don’t walk or stroll, perhaps you roll or move in another way? Together, we’ll circle one city block using footpaths, thoroughfares and public spaces so we can negotiate these surfaces together to find an accessible route that works best for you. The experience is designed as a one-on-one performance in public spaces, but please bring a companion if that makes you feel more comfortable – please secure one ticket for your desired session and we can confirm any additional tickets afterwards.

Sessions will go ahead in all weathers so please dress accordingly, but if it’s too hot, wet or windy outside we can venture inside to re-frame our conversation, continuing to shoot the breeze out of the elements.
